Make Crabby Patties desserts for the SpongeBob SquarePants Birthday Party !

They look like crabby patties (Hamburgers) but they are really made out of
chocolate mints that look like patties, and seasame cookies that look like
buns.

The kids will be surprised!Supplies:

1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs (1 is for the cookie glaze)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 cup shredded coconut
Green food coloring
Red and yellow icing
12 large (1.5 ounces) or 36 medium (.6 ounce) peppermint patties

Start with the cookie buns:

Heat the oven to 375°. Use an electric mixer to cream the margarine and the sugar until fluffy (about 1 to 2 minutes). Add 2 eggs and beat well. Stir in the vanilla extract. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a separate bowl. Then, add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and blend well.

Making larger "buns," drop dough by rounded Tbs onto a lightly greased baking sheet 1 inch apart (for medium-size buns, drop the dough by rounded teaspoons).

Use bottom of a floured glass to lightly press the dough into a circle. Beat the remaining egg, use a pastry brush to "paint" it on top of each cookie. Sprinkle sesame seeds on the tops.

Bake large cookies for 10 minutes & medium ones for 8 minutes,
or until golden brown.

Make Coconut Lettuce

Place shredded coconut into a plastic bag with a few drops of green food coloring, shake until the coconut has turned green.

Put together the Cookie Crabby Patties :Choose two cookies that are about the same size and shape.

Spread icing ketchup or mustard on the bottom bun, add an appropriately sized peppermint patty, sprinkle w/ coconut lettuce. Add a squirt of icing ketchup or mustard to hold the top bun in place.

Makes approximately 12 large or 36 medium burgers.

Bubble Blowing Party Activity - for SpongeBob SquarePants Birthday Parties

Bikini Bottom Bubbles -

Spongebob loves to to blow bubbles...
do the kids know his " special technique "?

To begin, everyone can watch the " Bubblestand " episode together.

Give everyone a bottle of bubbles. ...

They can all try to do the technique together - kind of like dance steps
or a spongy version of "Simon Says" -

If you want to read about the technique yourself now - without digging
out the Bubblestand episode - click here.

SpongeBob SquarePants PARTY INVITATIONS :

Cut a starfish or pineapple shapes from pink or yellow card stock paper.

On the front write:

Add party time and directions on the back of the cards.

If you can afford it, as an extra fun treat -

Deliver your invitations with
a small bottle of bubbles or small SpongeBob ( or other characters from the show ) toy. - SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy , Squidward , Mr. Crabs , Mrs. Puff, Pearl, Plankton, etc.

Having a SpongeBob Party ?

If you can afford it, I think that a BUBBLE BLOWER makes a great festive touch.

Additionally, for more atmosphere, white pearlized balloons look like big random bubbles everywhere.

Someone wearing a SpongeBob Squarepants suit may be fun, but then again, maybe not if they don't sound anything like SpongeBob.

If you are lucky enough to have a pool, SpongeBob would really fit in well in your backyard.
